Volunteer

People impacted by HD have an in depth understanding of the illness. We need your knowledge and experience to help others. Peer support is a vital resource for many. HDAI work with HD family members who regularly attend support meetings and reach out to new families to offer their support.

Our volunteers help to raise awareness by sharing their personal experiences in the media, at training and information seminars, by taking part in campaigns or representing HDAI in workshops and other forums. Others assist by contributing articles for our newsletters or annual magazine or helping to update publications and website information.

Some family members and other volunteers contribute their time and skills by sitting on HDAI’s Board and sub committees.

Many family members and friends participate in awareness and fundraising events for HDAI.
